John Sullivan

In 2004, John Sullivan packed up his family from Long Island, New York, and moved them to sunny, beautiful Lithia, Florida. He left behind the cold weather and his job as an insurance broker.

While in the process of transferring his broker’s license, he decided to try something different with his career. He walked into Cheddars Restaurant, applied for a bartending position and was promptly hired. After six months of training, John’s love of great food and his excellent people skills quickly helped him learn the restaurant business from the front to the back. He was promoted to General Manager. His strong work ethic lent itself to his drive to succeed and do even more for his customers. So, when customers began asking him to cater private events with the quality food he and his team were already serving, he started a side gig - 3 C’s Catering - to meet the demand.

After 10 years with Cheddars, John and his associates left to run the catering business full-time. His motto is, “3 C’s Catering - where we are in the people business…we just happen to serve excellent food!”

3 C’s Catering provides their unique brand of catering for inclusive venues, weddings, funeral homes, corporate events, schools, churches, and more. John invites potential clients to visit Café Delanie on Highway 301 for food tastings based on their preferences, then adds a few surprises he thinks they’ll enjoy. His catering company provides full-service options, table décor to match the event’s theme, and works with groups and budgets of all sizes.

John has a real passion for helping people enjoy memorable food at their once-in-a-lifetime events, as well as training and coaching young people to build their people skills in a professional setting. He’s generous with his time, volunteering and supporting groups like the Boys and Girls Club and Heidi’s Legacy, a dog rescue. 3 C’s Catering also offers discounts to schools and churches when they book events.

John and his wife Heather have been married since 2001 and have two teenage children, Kyle and Taylor. He and his family love going to the beach, biking, and eating delicious food at Mom and Pop restaurants.
