Tim Byrnes graduated Touro Law School in Islip, NY with his Juris Doctorate in 2006.
Before relocating to Florida, Tim practiced in New York with his primary focus being the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense.
Before becoming an attorney, Tim Byrnes was a police officer with the New York City Police Department, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant after 20 years of service. He was a first-responder on September 11, 2001.
As an attorney, he has practiced both family law and criminal defense for over 10 years before becoming an Assistant State Attorney with the 13th Judicial Circuit in Tampa.
As an Assistant State Attorney, Tim handled hundreds of criminal cases including DUI, Domestic Violence, and Petit Theft. He received advanced training in DUIs and can use this training and experience for you.
As a Family Law attorney, Tim has handled cases from uncontested divorces to highly acrimonious litigation involving business valuations, custody evaluations, and hidden marital asset discovery.
As a former police officer and Assistant State Attorney, Tim Byrnes has experienced every aspect of the criminal justice world.
